So is gingerbread a viable option at this point or can I get back to being unrooted without a factory reset?

Anybody know how to root this without installing a custom rom and without breaking mobile data? I'm selling my phone but the person buying it requested stock ED05 with root. Thanks.
Simple question. I rooted my phone using the instructions and the beginning of this thread. I lost all data connectivity. I restored it back to stock. Can I root this phone with the stock ED05?
I have been away from the forums for a little while, but I'll see what I can find out. Last time I was around rooting the ED05 build did not wipe out data connectivity. If I don't find any answers from digging through forums, I'll set my test fascinate back to stock ED05 and try rooting to see what happens. Give me a few days.
And return to stock. When you are back to stock just go to this post and flash a custom rom. . .
I fixed my phone by backing up my apps and data with Titanium Backup, restoring my phone to stock, loading the Geewiz 1.1 ROM, and restoring my apps and data with Titanium Backup. So far, the phone seems to be working better than ever. Hopefully, all the glitches I had won't come back.
Hello Landshark, Have you checked into this issue using your test Fascinate. I'm having the same issue and no luck finding a solution
Wait a second . . . RyanD8, how'd you get Titanium Backup on your phone without 3G? Wi-fi?
I have the same problem, so I'm going to try your fix . . . so you were rooted with official Froyo, but lost your 3G. You downloaded Titanium Backup via Wi-fi, went to stock, then flashed a ROM. And that fixed your 3G?
Also lost data access with SU+Busybox flash. Guess I'll just go for it and try flashing CM7 now...
