So I am coming from an iPhone 7 plus and I used twitterific as my Twitter app....and I loved it. So switching to android I need help finding a Twitter app that is like twitterific . The thing I loved about it was that it would put all of my following tweets in order by date and time..would then list them as one long list up to 1150 tweets. I could scroll through them and stop anytime and get back into the app and it would pick up where I left off. It also had a counter that would say how many tweets are left that are new. So does anybody have any recommendations to give me what I am asking for?

I use Falcon Pro 3, and it does all the things you listed above, and then some. Like having custom columns where you can place secondary feeds of twitter accounts that you may want to follow, but don't want to clutter up the rest of your feed. The only downside with FP3 is there is no widget yet.

Nothing beats tweetbot or twitterific from iOS. But I like Fenix, Flamingo and Talon for 3rd party Twitter apps on Android. They all are paid apps but they are the best in Android. You can try them out and see which you like. Pay for them and if you don't like you can request for refund from play store. So you can play with all of them and decide which one you like. My personal fav is Fenix but Flamingo and Talon are great as well. I keep changing between them once in few months.

Do any of these apps do what I am asking? Don't want to go through the hassle of purchasing until I know. The problem is I won't know if it does what I want until my timeline has filled up and that will take longer than the return period allows. I just want an app that doesn't auto move me to the top of my timeline. I want to be able to go through it at my own pace but still show me how many new tweets I have but continue to decrease that number while I am scrolling up.

Yes they all do, almost all third party Twitter apps give you that functionality.
