So I have a Samsung galaxy s8+ and it is ok...But recently the fingerprint reader has crapped out. Over the last 2 months the reader has been hit and miss and now it completely won't read my fingerprints. I did a factory reset and it worked ok for a few days and now it is acting up again. I have registered 3 fingerprints and even that is a pain to do taking almost 10 minutes for it even read my fingerprints to register them.
Long story short..i think my phone is defective. I have been looking at just getting a new phone and have been debating between an iPhone x or the pixel 2 xl.
I had an iPhone 7 for a brief time last year but overall don't care for iOS. I prefer android but I am kinda bummed that the pixel doesn't have wireless charging like the iPhone does. That is kind if an important feature that I think the pixel is missing. I use it every night at bed and it is nice to just plop my phone down at night and charge.
Now to my real question....how is the fingerprint reader on the pixel? I have so many apps that I use the fingerprint reader on, such as enpass and chase so having a reliable fingerprint reader is a must.
I am on Verizon and looking to make the switch soon. I know the s9 is coming out soon and I don't want to get a phone that is "outdated" but I don't think I want to go Samsung again and I don't want to wait for the next pixel or iphone...hence the debate between the 2 xl or the x.
