Question Help new to android

Hello all,
new to Android and coming from iPhone.

Just wondering if there's any way to have my incoming text messages preview on the lock and/or home screen (as done with the iPhone)? As in, I can see the message without waking up phone. I have a moto 5g power 2024.

Welcome to the forums. try going to Settings>Notifications. See if you have a section called Notifications on Lock screen. There you should be able to adjust how sensitive notifications come through while locked.

As per Golfdriver97, this is what it looks like on a Google Pixel phone. Other phones might be a bit different.
