help. No internet at all.

there is a system-wide network outage right now that is affecting both VM and sprint customers.

Internet gone here also... In NH

I am in NH (home area) and my Optimus V does not have any cell Internet at all!

I installed an app called "Phono" to see more stats (cell strength, data info, etc.) and under mobile data, it says "Mobile Data OFF"..

I verified my "Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Data Enabled" is checked, so the phone is trying..

I even went on my account to see if the top-up date arrived.. nope. it is the 22nd.

I will call tomorrow to see if it is something I can fix or if an outage.


Anyone else have no Internet (1x or 3g)?

yes, we all are. this is a nationwide outage affecting all virgin mobile and sprint customers as well.

that is interesting... i'm in iowa and just contacted my friend in cali... he is on sprint and his 3g is out as well.

well this is weird. I also have a boost (instinct) and here in vegas has excellent internet. But my optimus doesnt even try to search for internet. I have only phone.

OK, I just checked again and her sprint phone is not showing any data now.... oh well. I wonder if she was roaming before.

Glad I read this thread before calling them up....I was getting pretty upset and thought it was just an issue with my account. Hopefully when the network comes back up it'll be more stable than it has been for the past couple of weeks....I've had to reset my connection numerous of times to get the network to respond.

EDIT: I'm also in California

I'm in Northern Nevada and I seem to have lost 3G Data on my Virgin Mobile Service. It looks like I am not alone. I will wait until tomorrow to see if it come back.

Sprint works, Virgin does not

We have 3 virgin mobile phones (2-lg optimus, 1-lg touch).....and we have 5 Sprint phones (2-HTC Arrive Windows Phone, 2-HTC Snaps also smartphones and 1-blackberry curve)

All the Sprint phones are working perfect in our 3G area, but our Virgin phones are not working. One Virgin optimus is here in Northeast Iowa, another Virgin optimus is in Indiana, and the Virgin lg touch is in Iowa City.... And no data is working on any of the Virgin phones, even when they are next to perfectly functioning Sprint phones.

Conclusion: Virgin must be doing a nationwide update, or they didn't pay their data allocation from Sprint lol! On the bright side, all the voice services work.
