My S5 has been draining battery real quick lately(as much as 10% per hour) during phone sleep(locked). I went to check my wakelock detector and showed this(bam_dmux wakelock) is the main culprit.

I know this is related to background mobile data running during phone sleep, but I don't wanna turn it off as the other innocent apps will get affected. Is there any ways to search the culprit app? Or is there any other solutions?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried googling bam_dmux? Seems like a lot of info about this out there.

I did so too. But after long research I still couldn't find a proper solution for this problem.

easy now, easy fix,

turn off WiFi and Data when the phone is asleep.

I use MacroDroid to do that automatically, see my signature.

I agree.
I also use Macrodroid great app.

I really don't wanna turn off my mobile data during asleep as I want to receive my messenger notifications(the culprit app is definitely not one of those messenger apps).

Really need help guys.
