Help!!! pattern setup in security for certain unlock time.

I'm having an issue whenever pattern is setup in security in settings for certain unlock time it locks immediately every time, even though I setup a time like 10 minutes. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and if so what have you tried to resolve it ? I think it's more of an android issue in general .
