So, long story short.

He has an LG G4. It died to the bootloop issue only a few hours ago and he's currently in talks with LG customer support to see what they can do. Since it's perfectly well within warranty, he should get it fixed soon.

However, he seems to be wanting a new phone soon as the G4 has given him quite a number of issues before. So after discussing for a bit, I've come up with these 2.

- Samsung Galaxy S7
- HTC 10
- ZTE Axon 7 (once it is launched in Australia)

However, I would definitely want your guys' take and suggestions on this. The more suggestions, the better. It should meet the following;
- Has a relatively high-end processor
- Between 5 and 5.5 inches
- Not more than $700 (preferably not more than $500) (In USD)
- Must have an SD card slot
- Flat display
- Good camera and solid battery life

The OnePlus 3 doesn't make the cut because it lacks an SD card slot. The Nexus 6P doesn't meet that because it doesn't have an SD slot and is larger at 5.7-inches. The Galaxy S7 edge fails to meet that because it has a curved screen.

So, what do you guys suggest?

First question I'd ask him is whether he'd be happy going bottom right for Back. If not, that rules out Samsungs. If we know his preference, we can take it from there. :)

Haha, he doesn't really care about the button placement.
