Ok guys quick question. Had issues over the weekend phone was stuck at 1x all weekend. Did a battery pull, and the toggle on off stuff with no luck. Called Verizon did a hard reset factory wipe. Still at 1x. They send me a replacement, got today. But yesterday at work phone is running smooth and on 4g. Called Big Red and said hey disregard I'll send replacement back. No problem.

So tonight having data issues.
Phone on 3G, and I look,
Under quick setting mobile network is OFF
Under All Settings, Wireless & Network. Mobile network is connected..

Should I just scrap the phone and try the replacement? After it was working fine.

I'd try the replacement for a day; see if it works any better. But first, I'd do a master (factory) reset on it so you know it's starting from a known clean state. Then put your SIM in it and test it out. At least that will give you something to compare to your original and help determine if it's really the phone or a network issue.

Replacement is still in box at my office.
They supposedly sent me a new SIM card. Use mine or NEW?
Once I activate it am I stuck with the replacement? or do not activate just try SIM 1st?

I think that's just because the mobile radio was toggling off/on when looking at it and happened to catch it in an off state. I've seen the same thing with the mobile widget when the phone switches network modes or loses/gains data connection.

You should be able to try the replacement, determine if it's worthy to keep and if not send it back and keep your original. The SIM is different though I believe; if you activate the new one the old one is no longer useable. I'd try the existing SIM first in the replacement. If it still appears to have network connection issues, then try the new SIM.

Rene her tho....you only have 5 business days to get the phone sent back. They will charge you full retail for the phone. And trust me....they will do it. A friend of mine forgot and was charged. It took her alot to get the charge reversed

Are you sure you have 5 days?....I thought it was 15 days.

As far as the SIM card....I would use the new one. What I did when I got my replacement phone, I immediately went to the Verizon store and had them activate it...even though I could do it. I did that to take out the chance of me messing it up and them blaming it on me.

Any chance that it is just your back cover antennas not connecting?

So messed with both decided to keep replacement, works great still drops signal here and there no where near as bad. So other is in mail. All is fine until I finally make a call. and the speaker is "Tinny" as hell, can barely stand it. Going to give it a day or two. thought there was a fix out but can't find it. So will see how it goes. Any suggestions?
