Help! Softbricked... sorta...

Long story short i rushed when rooting my GN because im pretty familiar with rooting android phones. I did not realize you needed to modify a file to be able to boot into CWM other than using rom manager.

My question is, is there a way to get the stock image on the phone, or, use my computer to fix this? Because currently my phone is in a bootloop (I installed gummynex improperly, rushing and forgot to wipe data, yeah i know i asked for it.,..)

If i boot into recovery all it does is let me turn the phone on, i cant select recovery or anything.

You need to reroot and install cwm.

Yeah, problem is my phone is stuck on the gummynex boot screen, so the only thing i can access is the stock fastboot or whatever comes up when you hold the power button and volume button

reflash everything back to stock


and start the process all over

Would you be able to explain how to use ODIN when all i can access is the stock bootloader that doesnt let me do anything except start the phone?

ur going to have to find the stock image somewhere on the internet

then install the software that interfaces with odin on your pc


then boot into odin (there is some kind of key configuration you hold down during boot to get into odin)

select download mode, push the stock image from your computer to your device

then install it in odin

you should boot back up, stock everything as if you just bought the phone

I think this may have just been a MAJOR blonde moment for myself. in order to access CWM and , you have to hold both volume buttons and the power button? Because i was just holding volume down and power....

yup you fiqured it out you have to hold volume button up ,volume button down plus power button to get into bootloader
