I personally think this being a “starter” phone tends to attract a lot of people like myself that don’t know a lot about the development side. I think that the Devs on this forum are doing the best they can but could use some help. I think at this point we should have a lot more material than we do and we need people to step up and help these guys out. If you can help out with new ROMs or Themes etc. etc. then please throw a little something out there. If you can do anything on the development side you’re not off the hook you can still help out by hitting that TY button and the Donate button a little more. :p It easier for a significant other to talk one these Devs off the computer if they aren’t getting anything back from us. On the other hand if Beezy, Ksmith, Nick, or Zefie can say “but baby I just made a couple hundred of the ROM I released snookims” ;) (it would be a lot less than a dollar for each person who uses any one of these ROMs) we would have more content for this phone than we would know what to do with. Our noobness is not an excuse anymore, we need to step up. :p

If you got to any of the Devs posts you will see it on the bottom left mostly. Ksmith and Beezy split it so make sure and double up on theirs so they can get a few beers a piece.

There are 2 things that really make me happy and relieve stress, and this is for me personally, nobody else ....

1) When someone posts just to say thanks. Go through any development thread and look at all the "HALPPP" or "I cant get this working" posts. Now count the ones that simply say thanks. Those mean a lot to me.
2) Help people as much as possible. Lots of people use the products of the devs but then the split or move on to another topic. Help us out and provide assistance so we can actually relax a little bit. Cant say I've done much relaxing in the past 4 months. Right about now my girl would appreciate a night on the couch watching TV much more than $ .... money comes and goes ... she wants me :)

Those are the biggest things for me but again, i speak for myself.

While I do make my best effort to be an active member in the forum and answer any questions that I can, I don't think I've ever explicitly thanked you and Beezy for the work you've done for the community so I'll say it now:

THANK YOU!

I would like to present another viewpoint just for arguments sake, and for laughs. If anyone takes this seriously, there is something wrong with you.

I think instead of thanking and donating to the devs, we should be extremely demanding and try to ensure that they don't get any donations, and I'll tell you why. This is "starter" phone, correct? If we all donate and thank the devs, they will soon start looking at nicer phones with all the money us lesser mortals have given them for making our "low end" phone run better. Eventually, they will forget where they came from, and with dollar signs in their eyes they will move on to the ______________ (<-- insert best Sprint phone here), and we will be stuck with our inferior phone with no dev support.

It happens all the time folks. So I propose that we track down Beezy, Zefie, Ksmith, Nick7, and everyone else that supports this phone, and confine them into some sort of labor camp where they work for nothing. If you see them on the street, jump them and take their money. If you see them at a Sprint store about to upgrade, punch them in the ear and then run like hell...

Wow so that took a lot longer than I expected, but anyways, that is my way of saying "Thanks!" I really appreciate everything you guys do for this phone.

I second that... thank you Beezy and Ksmith for everything you do. This forum wouldnt be here without all your hard work.

I also want to take some time to give a big thanks to Drew for all his work on the LG Optimus S Control Center. That is a beast he took on and he made it look really easy. Thanks man thats gonna keep a lot of new people from bricking.

My first ROM was ThunderRom, and that got me hooked on customizing my phone. Thanks KS and Beezy, that's a fantastic product you put out and got the ball rolling for others to try out development for the Optimus.

Thanks to Nick for spending so much time on nRom and giving us more Rom alternatives. I'm currently using nRom and am pretty happy with it. I love the options of all the themes you can choose from the Lego Rom thread.

You all make this device a lot more fun to have than it would otherwise be without your efforts!

Thanks to all the Devs and ROM chefs on here, i can't stress how much i appreciate the work you guys put into releasing this phone from it's cage. I'm a student with no job, so I can't donate, but i would if i could. I've flashed quite a few mods/kernels/ROMs, and I love them all. I've bricked my phone twice, and you guys fixed it. Thank you so very, very much.

I too appreciate all the time and effort the devs and power users spend working on making this phone better and being patient and helping people. I know that sometimes you can find videos on YouTube that give hands on instructions but I think that the devs could make a killing holding webinars for training. You could be right online with them if you have any questions and the user could see what to expect with each step. I host webinars as a part of my job so I know it is an expensive service but at the same time I think it could be lucrative. Anyhoo, great job everyone and thank you!

The sad part is, I have met people in my past work that have actually thought similar to that, except more serious lol >.>

It's just about helping any way you can... the TY button is one way we can help.

I second second everyone here who appreciates what is being done for our benfits. Thank you to every dev, cook, and anyone else giving their time and resourses to freeing this and all android phones. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
