Set up email to sync to 2 accounts. Now need to remove one of the accounts from the combined inbox. Cannot find a way to remove (no not just disable by setting sync to never, but completley remove) one of the accounts from the combined inbox.

Looks like this "feature" is missing.

if it's a gmail account setup on droid...

settings, accounts & sync, select account, button at bottom says "remove account".

don't think it works with the main account though and the only way to remove that one currently is a factory reset and setup a different main account (paid apps don't transfer though).

should work unless I'm missing something in your post.

I'm lost on the "joint inbox" you're talking about I guess. Have you tried removing both accounts or the full setup and just redoing the setup for the account you want?

Thanks for the reply, yes the 2nd account in the combined inbox is a Gmial account. And the issue is that I am already using the droid Gmail reader for that which works very well. Wanted to see what the combined inbox would do to simplify, but this application lacks some of the features in the Gmail app. So now I have my Exchange email + a dup of the Gmail in the combined inbox. I did see the account in setup, but as you mention the only way to do this requires a factory reset!*! This is severe considering I am keeping the account as originally setup in the Gmail reader when all I want to do is remove it from the combined inbox view.

Suggest a fix for this, but unless anyone else has any ideas, I guess a wipe and rebuild is in my future, not-happy :(

When you first go into the Email icon and you are at the screen that lists Combined Inbox and your accounts, long press the account in question and select Remove Account
