I installed smart keyboard and all was fine for about an hour, then the touchscreen does not work at all. I have removed the battery several times and this does nothing to fix the problem. How do I hard reset? Is there anything else I can try to get this to work without losing any of my data?

Several views but no responses. Can anyone help me with this phone? It's kinda of useless without the touchscreen working.

If all else fails boot into recovery by holding volume up, home button and the power button at the same time till you see recovery booting in the top left of your screen. Use the volume rocker to select wipe data/ factory reset then press the power key to start the process. This will wipe all your data from your device. It'll be just like when you bought it. All personal data will be lost.
