Maybe I'm missing something here but when I go into the app tray on my SG S4, dragging the app to the trash bin does not uninstall the app. I have to go to settings..,then Application Manager and uninstall the app on the list......Is there a setting that I enabled somewhere that prevents me from uninstalling from the app tray like I do from my other Android devices I have?

If you're using the stock TW launcher what happens when you click & hold the icon? Does a menu pop up? I know with launchers like Go, Nova, and Apex that's all it takes. If nothing else you may want to try Nova launcher. Not only will you get the functionality you're seeking but a nice upgrade and feature-set as well.

Yes I am using the stock TW for a launcher.....when I long press on the icon, all I get is the trash can on the top right, and a folder on the top left to create a new folder ...... No menu whatsoever!I know on my old Samsung Fascinate, as well as my Nexus 7 2013, all I have to do is drag the app to the trash can, then accept the warning that the app will be uninstalled, and it's gone! Maybe I'll give Nova a try......thanks.

You didn't do anything to disable it.
That's the way it works on this phone.

You hit menu in the apps page and click uninstall. Then click on the apps you want to remove.

Go to app tray, touch Menu button, and press Uninstall. :)

Thanks for all the feedback....I think I'll just do the uninstalls from the menu option that a few people posted on here.....seems a very simple and easy way to do it......Thanks again!

Dragging to the trash doesn't uninstall the App. You need to uninstall from the settings if you are using TW.
