Ok I need help.
Been using an iPhone since 2007, finally got bored and switched to the S3 and so far ai really like it, but one this is baffling me.
On the iPhone, when someone left me a voicemail, I got the notification AND I never needed to have my data stream turned on to receive the VM's.
So on the S3 I assumed it all worked the same way.
I downloaded AT&T Message app (I guess it's pretty hated around the app world). and got everything set up. Everything seemed to work fine, but tonight I called my phone to test my VM message and I left a message. I see the VM icon pop up at the top of the phone, then disappear. I look and don't find ANY voicemail in any app or anywhere.
Hmmm..I noticed a note on the app saying something about needing data turned on to get messages?? So I turn it on, and sure enough, the VM's pop up and I can listen to them.
This sucks, I don't want to keep my Data turned on my phone 24/7. I keep it off to save battery.
So now what do I do to be able to see VM notifications on the phone AND have the ability to quickly access them WITHOUT data being on??
Any help is appreciated.
