I am a real estate broker and get a lot of emails from my mls database with a clickable mls # , it has 7 digits something like 3427234 and every phone I have had has no problem clicking the hyperlinked mls number to take me to the listing sheet on the web but on the SIII it takes me to the phone dialer. It thinks its a phone number and this is the only phone that has ever done that. Any idea how to fix there or is there an app?

Thanks.

Is this in Gmail or the stock email application? When it has worked on other phones I assume that it took you to a fully-formed URL (http://something.else.com/1234567)? Is it showing up as a clickable link or are the numbers just underlined as they are in your post?

Its the stock application and yes on my other phones it worked fine and yes the 7 digits are linked to a listing details web site page. I assume this is probably a Touchwiz issue as it never happened on mt HTC phones or Nexus. Very frustrating and have no idea how/if it can be fixed.

Actually I fwd the email to my gmail...it will work in the gmail app but not if I open up my gmail in the stock email application.

Funny you brought this up, because this same issue has been annoying me. I am a real estate broker as well, and you are absolutely correct in similar emails with RLS numbers I get with links to listings, it takes me to the dialer. I had not experienced this on my GNX or Thunderbolt previously. I'm not sure how to get around this as well. This is definitely specific to the S3 browser/email, but not only in real estate listings, but rather any email with a hyperlink with numbers in it.

Its very annoying but the only remedy I find for now is to just fwd it to my gmail and read the email there. The listings get sent to my aol account as that is where my MLS account is tied too. If you have your MLS attached to your gmail (which I do not) then you just have to open up the gmail app and it will work.
