Help with connecting to network

Hi all I am having a bit of a problem with my S5 using Facebook Messages what it keeps doing is not sending the messages & saying waiting for network all the time !!! . sometimes it will work for a few days and then sometimes it play up for days on end very annoying I never get it with my iPad Air when using Facebook Messages any help would be much appreciated many thanks

Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data? Can you compare the performance with the iPad head-to-head, or with anyone else using an S5 on the same network? If others are having similar problems, then it might be a problem with how the app is coded, or it might be the temporary network issues.
