help with fios remote app and volume

I have the app setup it works great, but when I hot the volume it changes the "box" volume I see it changing on my TV but it does not change the tv volume. (stays at whatever the tv remote has it set to)

The mute button works though. Any ideas on how to get the box to control my TV volume, not using a surround sound receiver just straight to tv.
