Im having a little trouble with understanding updates.
Heres my problem, I recently purchased a Galaxy S7 Active for my wife after her phone broke. The phone is the AT&T version, and we are on AT&T service.. I bought the phone used off ebay. Phone works great, was basically brand new. I can barely hear her when she calls me on the phone. I do some reading and see that sometimes doing an update fixed this problem.
I try to do an update and it tells me that there are no updates, and that the phone has the most current version. Then i do some investigating on the base version. I have a matching S7 Active on AT&T and our base version (software version) are way different. Im my searches, her phone appears to have software for a S6 Active. Below are the versions...
Hers: G890AUCS5CPK5
Mine: G891AUCS2BQL6
From what I can tell the G890 is a S6 Active, and the G891 is a S7 active.
Can anyone shed some light on what I can do ?
