Help with kies

Was wondering if anyone know how the update procedure works on there because I was going to go through with it but it said something about deleting data

I don't see what you see but data is backed up by kies so I would assume it refers to that or it could be setting.

What update are referring to? MD4 or kies app update?

Just in general if it wipes my phone then I dont want to use it ps im not rooted

Even unrooted when you do a factory reset it will wipe most things. If you have contacts stored as a google contact then once you log back in they will restore. In the playstore there is a list of every app you have downloaded and can get them back minus app data. SMS & VM will be gone. Pics will not be wiped nor music thats been downloaded.
