help with lg g6 sprint unlock

[AC Question]

i contacted sprint CS and they said my phone is unlocked. but when i put non-sprint sim, phone says sim not found message. i did uicc unlock and it says successful but i still get the same error message. i even did ##72786 # and that did not help either.

i understand that since uicc says unlock successful, sprint indeed unlock my phone. but why the hell is it not taking non-sprint sim yet?

Welcome to Android Central! What carrier are you trying to use? Are you certain the phone supports that carrier's network bands?

i put active t mobile, in active verizon sim, active freedompop sim. all the sims are being shown as "no sim card" error. this is lg g6 and from the specs, it has both gsm and cdma bands. infact in this forum i have heard someone is using same phone on att but he unlocked using GC pro dongle

Hmm, I'm not sure what the next best step would be. If you insert the Sprint SIM back in, does it recognize that?
