Help with MD4

The OTA is suppose to start pushing today. But being that there is no rhyme or reason to what order the push comes, could be up to three weeks before people get it.

Not true. It goes by either ESN number or when you activated your phone, something like that lol... I forget which one.

If installing the one click Odin, you don't need to do the kernel and modem, the one click is all inclusive. Qbking already has the video up for the update. Freeza is doing his thing to.

Qbking is working on a video, it's not up yet.

There's a zip over there now. I just did it on my completely stock 3.

Dual screen is neat. Paper Artist? Eh... No biggie.

Haven't dug around much yet.

Modem and firmware downloaded fine. Downloading the ROM right now. Looks like the size is 797MB. Making nandroid then once the download finishes it is flashing time.

I'm rooted but stock. Looking at freeza's thread, I'm confused which zip file to flash. Are the files for only unrooted or rooted? Will root be lost? Does the initial odexed "full rom" file include "modem and firmware"?!? Hmmm....

Okay does anyone else who has updated feel like they turned the volume down from 11 to 8?

Is there a way to hide the multi-window tab from showing on my home screen?

Edit: nevermind, I figured it out.

It appears I have lost root using upgrade rom. Should I install full odex root rom?!

Which file did you download, and how did you apply it? The update file is exactly the same as an OTA, and I'm kind of surprised it worked on a rooted phone. What recovery were you using, and what recovery is installed now? How do you know you've lost root?

If you still have CWM or TWRP recovery, then you can probably just flash the odexed or de-odexed full ROM and regain root. You may have reinstall SuperUser or SuperSU, though. If you're back to the stock recovery, you'll have to re-root. I recommend SkunkApe's thread in the Sprint Rooting sub-forum: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...e-updated-how-root-your-sprint-galaxy-s3.html
