In fact Nova and Apex are smoother than stock launcher.

I recommend Nova but you could try both

Really?, Thanks for the help, will try both, do you know which one takes up the least Ram/Memory.

I have both but am using Nova since Kitkat. It's much faster than stock. the default setting is 'Nova' which is faster, there's an even faster setting or you can change it to android default setting. I have everything changed, icon sizes graphics, background actions etc and it's cached at 59 meg, stock's not much difference.
However total ram used at idle is 1.5 gb free. with stock it's 1.4. so there must be hidden processes. phone generally feels MUCH faster with Nova.

I agree on Nova. Great launcher with a ton of customizable options over stock.

So just got Nova Launcher Prime, And it is .... AMAZING there is So much customisation options, it does fell a little snappier, Any good Themes or Apps to get for it, What are the best Settings for it , or what do you have.

I run my Nova setup very minimal. I eliminate unneeded extra home screens, adjust my home screens to allow more icons per row /column to balance things better. I also love the back up /restore and home screen lock so if I or my kids mess something up I can revert back or just lock it so it can't happen in the first place.

Another great feature is the wide range of customization with gestures. I'm not a big gesture user but I do like having a quick swipe to open my favorite app.

This is just the tip of the iceberg with the options available.

If I remember stock sets things up at even numbers. I go to odd numbers so you can center things equally.

Example 2 shortcuts on the left side, 1 in the middle and then 2 on the right.

my favorite is sphere theme go (on play store) with icons a 120 %
with green grass wallpaper! (included)
