Hi all,

I have a skylight calendar in my kitchen that I want to have a little bit more control over. It is basically a glorified tablet running Android 12. I am able to get in and run adb commands on it, I've enabled developer mode, but one simple thing I can't figure out is how to get a home button or gesture to work on this thing. I've tried installing both nova and action launchers, but I can't find anything that will let me go back to home once I'm in an app (other than running an adb command to go home). Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Welcome to Android Central forums. I'm afraid your question is too specific to a product that not a lot of people use. It may not be that not many people use it but rather your asking a pointed question in a very small pool of Android users. You will likely find more help in forums specific to the product. I found these places where people are actively using and talking about Skylight Calendar.

I would also refer you to YouTube where you might find some videos on customizing this product.

Not being familiar with this product, I noticed you said you were able to install launchers, are you also able to install apps? If you can and you are kind of tech savvy or feel you can learn some simple programming, you might look into something like Tasker. Tasker is an automation app that offers users a lot of extra functions. It also has extensions that allow users to do things like add buttons and shortcuts to their screens on most Android devices. There are several videos on YT, and multiple forums with threads about Tasker. There are other automation apps, some free to use, but I'm not familiar with them which is why I usually only talk about Tasker. Again I'm not sure if it will work with your device but it might be something to look into.

Best wishes. Let us know if you find a solution.
