Help with pictures in text messages

Why are the pictures on my Optimus T in text messages so small? When someone sends me a pic, even when I click on it to make it bigger it still shows it like a video with a play/pause button at the bottom, which makes the picture only take up half the screen. How do I make these pictures fullscreen when I click them? I can barely tell what the pictures are of!

This is T-Mobiles fault. I know using GO SMS allows you to receive them in full size. Other apps may work to.

OK thanks, I'll check it out. Do you know if there is an app for managing text messages? I can't stand that I can't delete multiple text messages at once from the same sender, unless I delete the entire thread. So I figured that I would just go through the texts (3000+) and lock the ones I wanted to keep then delete the entire thread... but anytime you delete or lock a text that you have scrolled up to view, it scrolls you back down to the bottom. This is a lot of text messages to have to keep scrolling up through..

I have learned my lesson on letting texts pile up like this. :-\
