Help with Rooting the LG Optimus S with software version LS670ZVD

Hi dizzle! I'm so glad you got rooted finally. I told you these guys are awesome over here. They're very cool and helpful and have helped and taught me a lot. Jon, you da man... thanks for taking care of him!
so I have successfully rooted, but am confused about how to install the recovery kernel. Any suggestions?

yes.. but u need to change it to #....
I changed it but not sure if it worked. Nothing happened. Went to try again and now I get and error: device not found.
Somehow i am now at the recovery screen. Which option do I choose?

aka cant any on help me ??Special thanks to JonDevere, he helped me today from start to finish. I tried rooting my phone by myself after the latest sprint LS670ZVD update with no luck and I've tried every guide that I could find online. I finally found this page and saw Jondevere's name mentioned as someone who is really helpful and knowledgeable, well since I had no where else to turn I decided to hit him up on Gtalk, and boy I'm glad I did. This guy is a very patient genius who is also very modest, he took the time rooted my phone then install the latest nightly build of CM7 along with some other things, I love my phone all over again. Jon you are the man, thanks a million!
Main thing I would recommend is read everything, the gingerbreak method should work just fine to do it.
Some people may want to slap me for pointing out this next part; it's a firm belief among the community that you will learn more if you read and do it the hard way. Definitely true; but if you are feeling lazy apart from writing this guide Drew also developed a one click root method called Gingersnap I would link it but I seem to be failing at links since the recent forum changes I expect it's user error on my part but I'm too lazy to figure out why
If you have any issues during the process of course feel free to ask on the forums. Several of us are available on Gtalk if you do need more assistance aswell (same username as here).

Hi I noticed you helped a couple other people get cyanogen mod7 and i was wondering if you would be able to help me get it for my optimus s as well. Ive tried reading through different tutorials and i cant seem to figure it out.
