I have seen some home pages with writing rather than actual pictures. I would like to do this I understand I need to create what I want on simple text then use something else to get it on there to work but can someone please tell me the exact steps how to do this? What are you settings and stuff on simple text?

Use simple text to create the words for the icon you are making (then save), and then open the image in desktop visualizer to add function to the icon. It automatically creates a shortcut on the homepage where you can drag it wherever. My text size is either 35 or 40 with 40 and -40 for the angles. After that was set I adjusted the x and y axis to center each one. Desktop visualizer is pretty straight forward, just pay attention to where simple text saves to. I used 128x126 in simple text for the size and came up with this.

It is analogy clock live wallpaper. I thought it was pretty neat looking, and seems to run pretty smooth on my phone. The middle part is a minimalist text widget that fit nicely in the middle. How did you changed the app drawer button, I tried and wasn't able to remove it.
