HI,
First of all I have a Samsung Epic on Sprint, and an Asus Eee pad transformer.

I love both so far. I am having trouble with skype on both, especially the transformer.

I can log in on skype, but it doesnt allow me to make calls or receive calls. I had calls madefrom pc to my tablet, and nothing happened. I also tried making calls and it just says dialing, and nothing happens. I am using it over wifi, and have all settings set up correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

On to my second question. Is there any way to use my cell phone to get internet on the transformer, like if i plug usb into the docking station. I dont have the docking station yet, but will probably get it soon.

This is my first time on these forums, so I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong place,

Thanks for the help.

I don't know about the skype thing, but I know that I've had trouble getting my Transformer (before it hit the floor one too many times) to access the internet via my smartphone hotspot. I believe that type of connection is referred to as "ad hoc" and for some baffling reason, android doesn't support it.

on ur epic, version of android do u have? Froyo or gingerbread. It makes a huge difference. Second, is ur epic rooted? Having a rooted phone gives u full functionality of the phone, especially full video calling on skype. Next, u can tether ur epic and make that the wifi point for ur tablet. Keep in mind though, u must be very careful when tethering. If u go the hack method, tethering will be free. Other wise sprint charges $30 for 5gb a month for tethering.

Should be running HC on the tab, 3.2 preferable, so that shouldn't be an issue, unless it's an early 3.1 version. I would be more inclined to check the port access on the router, specifically any firewall settings.

Look at this;

Also make sure you have the most current version of Skype.

As with an AdHoc connection to use your PC's internet, Android doesn't natively support it. At least the Stock Roms do not. To enable it, you will have to install a modified WPA.supplicant file to your android device. You can find lots of these at xda-developers.
