Help with Sprint Galaxy S8 Plus

My friend just showed me his galaxy s 8 plus and mentioned how the top of his home screen. Where you see the time, battery left, network, etc. Is cut off half way. Has anybody experienced this problem and know what this is about? The top is really cut off on the top and he mentioned this happening a week ago but doesn't remember what caused it.

If the issue did not persist idk where the problem is ?
Though if this is reocuring we would need more details as in : is it cut off horizontaly or verticaly? when dragged down or when simply looking at it ?

Maybe this will help. If you look at the top of the screen, you will notice that its cut off? You can see on the top right. I hope anyway. Let me know if anyone has any clues or ideas? I'm just trying to help a friend out.

Lmao, good eye. I hope the owner of this phone didn't put this screen protector on himself so they can at least blame someone else.

Key to the S8 and S8+ is you can't really use a screen protector, just doesn't work.
