Hi I'm looking to just uninstall/move to sd card, the apps that are preinstalled.

My question is that I understand I have to root, (and I have to wait as I have the NOV OTA), but I'm a noob and I don't understand everything correctly.

so to uninstall those apps, I need to run Unrevoked3 and root, now my question is that after I root, I need to install something called a rom to be able to uninstall these apps?

If so, then can somebody please link me to an idiot's guide to rooting htc incredible and suggest what rom I should use to do this? I like to my phone as unchanched as possible, all I want to do is remove the damn pre installed apps, and move some to my sd card.

also I'm a bit confused, some root guides tell us to install the radio and some don't mention anything.

TIA

I would love it if you could take me step by step once the new Unrevoked3 comes out.

Thank you so much, since I don't need to flash a new ROM and all, does that mean I can receive future OTA with no problems?

Once again, thank you so much for your time and help.

When your rooted you can't update. I have a custom Rom wich has the new update. Now if another update comes my developer will update his Rom with the new update. So I think its better if YOU load a Rom . So you can keep up to date

Dang, well, how hard is it to root, delete apps with titanium, and then unroot? would that even work?

Also is security off, what rooting basically is, or is the security off part of rooting?

once again thank you for your time, its appreciated.

Can you follow basic directions as in plug in your phone and run a program??

If so you can root

Titanium- list of apps and then uninstall apps

Once your rooted just stay rooted

well if its possible to just root and uninstall unwanted apps and then unroot to receive regular updates, I much rather do that, can't I just set S to ON, and receive updates or is it deeper then that.

To answer your question, yes I can follow directions, I'm actually a wiz with windows/software and hardware, but I just have no experience with linux, and I mean zero.

right now I can't root cause I have the 2.2 with the nov ota, which unrEVOked 32.1 can't root.

thank you for your time.

Once your rooted just stay rooted. To root you just plug your phone in with the micro usb and run the program and it does the rest. There is no reason to unroot at all after your rooted. The unevoked will have a root out here in a few days just wait.

Which ROM are you running? I've checked out the ROM sticky and there are so many and its hard for a fairly new comer to tell which ones have the update incorporated and which ones don't
