Hi everyone! :) I just got a new cheap tablet from a local store. It's been having problems connecting to the wi-fi. When I flick the wi-fi on, sometimes it says 'Turning wi-fi on' but then it just turns off again. Other times, I'm able to connect but then the wi-fi signal is only grey. Other times, I could connect just fine.

Question: Is the problem with the tablet? There are several devices connecting to our wifi, (2 laptops, 2 tablets, 1 Nintendo 3DS) and does it affect that?
I have a feeling I didn't properly set-up the IP addresses and they conflict one another, because everytime I connect just this one laptop I have to go cmd and type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew all the time. I'm also using the Google DNS because when I use the 'Obtain DNS automatically' it says there's a conflict with the DNS server and no one could connect to the wi-fi

Thank you so much for your help! If you help out, I'll buy you some ice cream.

Have you tried resetting the router? This often solves many WiFi problems related to devices not connected to the internet. See if that helps and let us know how things go.
