Hi guys, I got a S3 Rogers version (at&t) and I just rooted with the help of YouTube. I installed SuperSu, goomanager, and titanium backup. I did the basic steps for SuperSu and goomanager but not for titanium backup. That means I haven't done a backup yet.

The reason of my posting is that I would like that someone lines out the chronological steps to continue my quest to flash my phone.

I have read posts and posts in numerous websites but is very confusing because they try to aim at a broader audience and I'm afraid of bricking my phone. My goal is to flash a 4.1 stock rom (not available thru Rogers) and eventually 4.2 when a stable rom comes out.

I have read lots about clockworkmod but I don't completely understand it's functionality. I have also read its very important to backup your stock rom just in case but I'm not sure if to do it with titanium backup or in recovery mode.

Please help me. If you have a link to 4.1 rom for at&the please share it. Thanks

I can't help you with the Rogers-related questions since I'm on Verizon.
If you loaded Goo then it sounds like you're running TWRP, not ClockworkMod.
Anyway, you'd use whichever recovery method you installed to make a complete backup of your ROM (you'll hear this referred to as a 'nandroid' backup).
You'd use Titanium Backup to make backups of individual files/applications, as well as to change apps from system to user (or vice versa), and to 'freeze' apps that you don't want running (there's probably other stuff that it can do but those are the ones that come to mind).

I can't remember what else you're looking to do but that's a start.

nice one GSD.
yeah the recovery you installed will back up the firmware already on your phone.
just use titanium if you need all your app settings backed up.. you might just want a fresh start.
after flashing etc u can use titanium or other apps to remove any bloatware that comes with the new rom.

im also waiting for a complete, finished vanilla 4.1 then 4.2 rom :)

global s3, UK. Ask me anything and ill reply even if its just an intelligent (or stupid) guess ;)

Here is something I put together for CWM Recovery. It may be able to help you out.
