help!

Went to delete a picture album containing only one picture. For some reason all albums were checked and got deleted when I pressed "delete", so all were deleted. I have these photos on my iMac, so which is the best way to transfer photos from an iMac to a Note 5?

You could use Android File Transfer if you want to connect via USB. Uploading photos to Google Photos and then download to phone is another option.

AFT will not recognize my phone even though I'm using the data cord that came with the phone.

Hm, Samsung Smart Switch is another non-cloud option. Think you'll need to uninstall AFT, then reboot prior to installing Smart Switch.

I see no way to use Smart Switch to transfer pics from a desktop iMac to an android smartphone. Am I wrong??
