try this. Settings-More settings-Mobile Networks-Network Mode-Now u have a choice of 3 Global,LTE/CDMA=4g, GMS/UMTS. I would try global since VZ isnt GMS. seems it puts my phone into 3g only. Now there was an APP that allows u to change networks and such before they added the option with updates or its when i had my NEXUS. but i forget the app ill look it up later.

Such bs this problem.
Phone Info no long has the ability to switch to 3g.
I am super pissed because my phone was always on the 3g setting, but after a recent automatic update it switched to 4g.

I realize this is an old thread,
But I am desperate for a solution
???

I've attached the PhoneInfo app file from my phone that still works for me. If you download and install it, you'll be able to turn off LTE.

What's wrong with the old method? I attached the app that allows you to turn off 4G/LTE above...it works.
