Here's how to spot a fake Note 3! (For those looking at online marketplaces or unofficial retailers)

I have an original note 3 that I bought from t-mobile and mine came with that smart care sticker.

If you truly want to know if its real, go to the play store and download this app called genuine galaxy and it will tell you if its real or fake!! Works great because i have a real note 3, but my friend has a fake one so we did it together and it told me, mine was original and it told her, hers was fake.. Good luck

Abarzua21 has the answer, that Genuine Galaxy immediately solves the problem. The big problem is that you can't use it until you have the phone. So other info here will help. I just bought a Original Galaxy Note 3, N900W8, which BTW has The most "Bands" of any Note 3, as far as I can tell. A couple things that came with it. It was a black phone, the accessories were white except for the replacement nibs, they were black. The charger DID NOT have the UL logo on it. I also must say that not only is Samsung's web site pathetic as for detailed info, their support is also pathetic. The battery also said Made in Japan, Assembled in China. When I used Sam's chat, the person on the other end, couldn't understand English and the info as to the UL logo missing, or that a black phone had white accessories. He also had no clue as to the correct battery labeling. Next I emailed Samsumg US support (bought phone from Puerto Rico) the response said that was an international phone and they had no clue. I then called an 800# and again told that they didn't know anything about that phone. I then asked "ok, how about the phones sold in the us?" The woman then said that sometimes the accessories might be white with a black phone and "maybe" the UL logo wasn't on the charger. She also said that her new Note 3 had the same battery that I got.

So in my opinion, as far as the battery and the charger, its maybe. On Ebay look carefully at the feedback, I check the neutral and negative, one mention of "not OEM" and I write them off. Use PayPal to help get your money back. Thanks for all of the work above.

I just bought an unlocked one from amazon and have to say this forum scared me a bit lol. I downloaded the spec device app you suggested and ran it and got basically what you listed as the original. I also checked the controls and mine matched up with the original and my pen clicks and works. Also, mine didn't come with headphones, but the hook ups are white and has the 'UL' mark on it, matching the original. Thanks for this post, gave me a scare but I am pretty confident I got a real one now. :D
