Here's why I hope LG doesn't make any more Nexus phones

Well it probably wouldn't sit well for Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG or the others that made Android what it is today.

Right. And they've made it into something that they can't abandon because they don't have any alternatives. Windows Phone 8? Stillborn. Tizen? A niche play. iOS? That'll be the day. They won't bite the hand that feeds.

How about "none of the above"?

The N4 screen is gorgeous, the camera is as good or better than most smart phone cameras, and it's not all that fragile if you take care of it and treat it like the expensive precision electronic device that it is, and put it in a case. Battery life could be better, but I certainly wouldn't call it "horrible".

Are you crazy, stupid, intoxicated, or trolling? Maybe you work for HTC, Samsung, or Apple?

The N4 is the best Android phone for the money on the market today, period.

No only samsung pays people to trash other products.

Do you even have a N4 op? Exactly thought so.

From everything I've read on this forum, the Nexus 4 suffers from the following problems:
You've read about defective units. If you owned an N4, you would know how awesome it is.

1. Sub-par screen
It's easily the best screen I've seen on a phone other than the new 1080p ones.

2. Sub-par camera
Camera is perfectly fine for me.
I wouldn't call anything that can take this without any artificial alterations.

3. Horrible battery life
Again, 4 hours screen time with everything on is by

4. Extremely fragile design
I dropped that fragile thing on concrete a couple times with no case or screen protector from a few feet above the ground. Phone still looks like new

5. What else??

Who cares if the phone is made of glass and looks good. The Nexus brand deserves something better without basic issues like the ones above.
What issues?

Here's to hoping that Nexus 5 is made by HTC or Motorola.
Here's to hoping the N5 is also made by LG. Though HTC or Moto would be nice.

:D :p :)

Hi,
I really disagree with your opinion.
The camera is quite good, the screen is top quallity, the battery is had a good life time, and th e design can be fragile, but has an amazing design and you've to take care of a expensive handset!
What else? The replacement parts are incredibly cheap for an handset like this

NEXUS 4 - E960

And don't forget... Top handset for 349$?

1. This makes absolutely no damn sense at all. I'm assuming you're blind and haven't ever seen a Nexus screen
2. Camera is fine. Not horrrible, not great, it's average. Unless youre a pro photographer it's fine.
3. The Nexus has a quad core processor. If you're concerned about battery life this is not the phone for you. If your an average user it's fine. I use mine 3-4 hours a day, and always keep it on and it lasts me about 24 hours
4. This one is just stupid.

I would expect someone with at least half a brain cell to make more informed comments then this.

The biggest N4 problem with LG is not even on that list. That is the woeful supply for the first 3 months after release and the lack of communication about it.

This is just from the first two pages of this forum:

Google was probably involved with the development of the Nexus 4, they probably were in charge of many
of the aesthetic, and hardware functions of the Nexus 4. Its not all to blame on LG.
The Nexus 4 is a great device, in my opinion slightly underrated.

I'm pretty impressed with the nexus 4 myself. Impressed enough to not overlook LG anymore. I think the build quality is top notch and battery life is great. I mean yeah it sucks compared to your old moto razr v3 that's rotting away in a drawer somewhere but it's my third android phone and has the best life of the 3, and it charges ultra fast too.

I don't get why people are having so many issues with battery life, what are you guys keeping brightness up all the way, running live wallpaper, and have a million widgets that auto refresh every minute? I mean I make no effort to conserve battery and still get 16-20 hours.

Another perfect example of why you should use a device as opposed to reading through issues on a forum.

There are only two types of people that utilize forums: 1) avid supporters of the product or service, and 2) people looking to voice their displeasure with the product or seek assistance.

No device, whether it be this Nexus 4, an iPhone, or the popular Galaxy line, can escape the brutal criticism found on internet forums.

Rest your case ROLF!. I suggest that you have not been in possession of a Nexus 4 and therefore your evidence is completely circumstantial. As a result the N4 is not guilty and should be acquitted

The OP and anyone else is certainly entitled to their opinion. Fact, there is no perfect phone. We all choose phones based on what is individually important. The shortcomings of our choices are either unimportant to us, worked around, or just accepted. Just look at any of the device forums. There will be positive and negative posts. In my opinion, the gist of this post is the desire for a better Nexus 5. Perhaps it is stated a bit harshly, but I think all of us can find a major shortcoming they would like improved.

Agreed. This thread reads like something on an iPhone fanboi site.

A smattering of discontent does not an accurate reflection of the phone make. You could do something similar in just about any forum devoted to a particular phone, be it Android, iPhone, BB, or Windows Phone. Those who are unhappy will be the most vocal, those who are happy tend to go on their merry way. In all of these threads, there are rational explanations for these "failures," and plenty of people who have no issues at all. This phone is hardly what I would call a fail, and I would say the majority of Nexus 4 owners are happy with their device.
