Hero or no?

Faster processor on the EVO and 2.2 Froyo, it does make a huge difference; read all the issues with stock 2.1 on the Hero making calls, way too laggy if not rooted. Also, if you will use GPS, go with the EVO, more real estate as far as screen goes. I wish my Hero had a bigger screen when using GPS.

As far as the extra $10 for 4G, Sprint only charges you if your area has it available. Is still not available here in South FL, so no extra $10 for me if I were to get it right now.

My daughter has had the Moment and it doesn't look anything like the Hero, even though the Moment has better hardware, is ironic but true.

If I were you, I would wait until 8/31, the Epic 4G comes out and I would compare head to head to the EVO at the store.

One last thing you should consider is the ithing haters, when they see you with a Hero they laugh at us (even though their phone doesn't have a lot of capabilities the Hero has), but they never say anything against the EVO, they know they can't! If you want to abuse them, get the EVO, it keeps them quiet. Or wait for the Epic.

This is not correct. If you have own an EVO and are not charged by Sprint, keep low. Otherwise, you will be charged $10 if you have or no 4G in your area. My nephew has an EVO and in my area we have NO 4G until maybe December 2010. He was notified up front of the charge and it appears in his bill.

Yeah, the $10 charge is there whether you live in a 4g area or not.

I personally like the hero.I think The Hero is the best on looks and on functionality than HTC, and this comes down to not just the components used but also the addition of Sense. HERO also provide htc hero skins which are best protecter and gives stylish look to our phone.
