#hex installer

I got rid of #hex installer for a short period and now I want to use it again. I've set up my theme and am able to apply the try it now #hexed theme , but when I get to the part where I have to apply the high contrast theme and restart my phone it turns everything I changed back to the default phone colors ( that ugly blue). What am I doing wrong ?

I know it has something to do with one UI 3.1, but I've followed all the instructions. I just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

I uninstalled and reinstalled hex again and I got messages about using adb to make sure my theme sticks. I don't know what that is or how to use it. I have screen shots of the messages.

Nevermind . I've been reading around and to get the hex theme it's more trouble than it's worth. Can a mod close this thread out please and ty?
