Hey google works but no visual

When I say hey google, it will beep and verbally answer my question but it will no longer bring up any visible part. So if it says here are some things to check out, I get nothing, as it is not bringing any visual aspects

Welcome to the forums. After the recent Google app update many users are experiencing crashes and similar problems to yours. The fix is to clear storage for the app or uninstall updates. Worth a try.

OK Google doesn't display

When I say 'OK Google' my phone makes a noise indicating its responding, but nothing appears on my screen (I used to see the text of what I said) . This extends to not displaying search results.

There have been occasional times when the feature stopped working, but simply restarting my phone fixed that. That doesn't work here. OK Google is still working - I just can't see it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Should read Hopefully easy on title...

Thanks for the replies. Phone is a Samsung S9+. How do I clear storage for the app? I went to Settings, then Apps, but doesn't show the app. Also, is it called Hey Google, or OK Google?

It's just called Google. Select it, then tap Storage, then look for the options to clear cache and clear data.

I see this as well. Not sure if this was intended by Google, or if it might be a bug. Either way, send some feedback to Google about it from within the app.

Hi, welcome to AC!
Long press the google app then tap info >3 dots upper right corner tap then Uninstall the update , might have to go back into assistant turn hey Google on , and make sure play store doesn't automatically update the Google app
