the whole phone. Just goes to a black screen and says it's crashed whenever it feels like it. I read somewhere online it may be because my device is rooted. Was thinking to back it up and flash it.

It also gives a message about putting custom software on the phone that may cause crashing

I am pretty sure I did that a few times. It gives these options in blue highlights on the black screen using the volume down button and then reboot.
