Funny you say that, last 4 months I was watching XDA forum almost daily to see if they come out with a solution for Note 4 AT&T so I could install a custom rom, but it never happened. At least not a permanent one.

I was considering the one plus 2, but the last 2 months on my note 4 i had a good experience by just disabling some bloatware and using nova launcher. Battery was great and all though the phone wasn't snappy as note 5, it was descent.

When I saw the note 5 I felt in love with and couldn't resist and so I bought it.

And with the note 5 I really don't feel I need a custom rom, I really like it.

The biggest reason I was thinking about a custom rom is that I'm not a patient person so I want to put my finger in an app and have it open instantly and I have that with Note 5.
Sure there are features I would love to have from other custom rom, and things that I'd love to see samsung not do in the phone, but overall I am really happy with it.
It's with no doubt the best phone I ever had.

But, you never know what will come in the future.
I'm always looking out the new versions and we all know it takes too long for it to happen.
And that could be a reason I would be looking to install a custom rom, as far as it keeps the basic s pen functionality.

By the way I have 2 slim cases coming, will see how it will work.
It's either that or a skin.

I completely understand what you mean, I have a N910F international version and i got CM on it and it's pretty good.. It sucks that you guys in the U.S have the carriers trying to hold you on what you install and do... It really sucks, because android is all about user access and customisation.

Great, to hear that you're enjoying the Note 5. It is a great phone in terms of hardware and doesn't deserve the hate it has been getting.

The E7420 combined with LPDDR4 and the Note 5 amazing display and the capability of the S-Pen makes it an amazing device for sure.

Well... it's your phone. You SHOULD be allowed to do anything and everything you want to it. How does it harm Samsung, LG, etc if you load a custom bit of software on the phone? Or the carrier for that matter? You paid for it, you should decide what goes on it.

The issue is that Samsung is going for some of the corporate business that Apple has had and many companies and government won't consider anything but Apple unless it can't be rooted, carriers are also requesting for their corporate accounts. I wish they did "corporate" devices and "personal" devices and personal ones weren't locked down.
