HI I'M A FIRST TIME ANDROID USER HELP...I Cant view my gallery after jellybean update!!! galaxy s 2

Since the new jellybean operating system update: I can't see my gallery on Facebook... like when you go to post a picture... it only lets me see the pictures that were taken the day before the jellybean operating system update.It worked fine with the ice cream sandwich operating system. All other applications recognize my gallery. This is my first android phone a galaxy s2. I'm not good with computers or phones.I've always had an IPhone and my daughtes would manage the upkeep on those! But Now I'm on my own!!! UGH... I wAs surprised how easy-to-use the phone was! I will never go back to Apple!! I wAs doing great until this update!! Some please Help Me!!! I have tried clearing the cache. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. After that didn't work...I did a complete master reset and installed each application individually. That didn't even work!! Is anyone else having this same issue?? If not please help this newbie to Android world and to the forum fix this issue!!! Please help??? This is driving me crazy!! Thanks for any suggestions and for reading my post bc its more like a book! lol Steph

I don't really do much with Facebook, so I haven't seen this issue. Sorry I can't help more.

Wow....you are really detailed in your fix methods. From our point of view, THANK YOU!!!!! You have stopped me from suggesting things that you would have already done.

To answer your question. My best guess is that it is something with the app itself. You can try emailing the developer and give details about your problem and what device you have with what carrier. The reason I am pointing my finger at the app, is because you have done everything you possibly can to correct the issue. I have heard that the Facebook app is garbage (Believe it or not, I am hardly ever on that site). Now, another suggestion is sometimes, websites themselves show up and act better than their app counterparts. My girlfriend hated the Victoria's Secret app, she kept complaining to me, until I just went to the site, and problem solved.

My only other suggestion is about factory resets. I would only suggest them as last resorts, and even then try this. Reboot into recovery. To do so, power down, wait about a minute, then power back up by pushing the volume up and power buttons at the same time. Release when you see the Samsung logo. It will bring you to a screen that has options highlighted. you can navigate using the volume buttons, and to select an option you hit power or home (Depending on the recovery version). You can clear the phone's cache that way, and clearing the phone's cache sometimes helps greatly. (I don't have my S2 on me, but I think you select wipe cache partition) This is better than a factory reset because you don't completely wipe your phone, and a reset wipes phone cache anyway.

Steph one thing... Can you view your photo gallery on your phone? If you can then I am going to beg out of here...lol but if you cannot make your you are not set on Event and instead to folder view.

Yes I can view my gallery on my phone. I also can see it in other applications. So that's what's got me puzzled???
