Hi, I'm Kevin - and I'm a Crackberry Defector...

I've got both.

BB for work.

HTC Magic for personal use.

The only overlap is the synched calender to prevent double booking.

I think I'm going to give it a shot. Worst case I can resell it and go back to a Crackberry. I just can't pass it up after reading everything.

I've been a Crackberry Addict for about 2yrs now. I was going to buy a Storm 2 next week, but kept seeing Droid comparisons so finally took the time to read up. Crap. I convinced myself out of the purchase I think.

I was a happy Crackbery user (lordjudass LOL) my Backy curve gave a lot os satisfactions , but now i love my brand new HTC Hero, is just perfect, the speeds in my data plan are awesome and i can use wifi for download large files (i can use my data plan but i don't wanna overload) i can see embed videos on any web page, it reminds my passwords and is very customizable is perfect...

I really gonna miss the battery of my curve no one can beat it...

Anyway i'm so excited with my new HTC HERO...

I came from a blackberry 8330 to the hero and I have to say my only disappoint would have to be e-mail and battery life.

The battery just doesn't last as long as my blackberry no matter what I do. However considering everything it does I think I can deal with being around a charger a little more then I'm generally used to.

The e-mail isn't that great but as I don't use it for work and don't have anything dire ever coming through e-mail I can deal with that also.

Gladly abandoning my 8310 for a real modern phone OS on an ADP1. I've thoroughly tested the browser in store on a G1 and I am so happy to be getting a phone with a real web browser.

I am coming from an 8900 to a MyTouch 3g..I can't wait. I'm keeping my 8900 just in case I don't like the MyTouch 3g.

I am coming from a 8330 to the Droid. Was able to have a quick hands on with one last night and can't wait to get it on Friday.

Hello Kevin, I'm Billie. I also switched from a Blackberry Curve. :) Loving the Hero so far!

I have a feeling that alot of people are going to be making the switch from Balckberry to Android. Good news is though, alot of those same people are going to be switching from Crackberry to this site Android Central. Already seem alot of my old posting buddies. Welcome to all! I hope AC's servers and administration/mods cam handle the traffic they're going to be seeing in the next few months.

i feel you kevin im also a crackberry defector and hoping this site can help me out with my crackberry rehab and be as awesome to me as crackberry was

Bleh, CrackBerry is still a great site for information. But, the mass of BlackBerry followers who have no open mind at all really get to me. You can't find real information or feedback because they push RIM and BB regardless if the phone is good or not.

I'm looking forward to intelligent discussions here about smart phones ;)

Hi im Joe....and Im a crackberry addict.......

Well I was...but not anymore, I dumped my blackberry tour and storm for the Eris....and life is good......Like Kevin I hope this site fills the void left by crackberry.....

im thinking about changing from a bb to an android phone...specifically the behold 2 when it comes out. i got a chance to play with one, and was really impressed. my question is though, how do android phones do on battery life, can you reload the os if there is an issue with the phone like a bb, and is it easy to get non gmail accounts pushed to the phones. ok thats more than one, but oh well...thanks for the help guys, figured you would understand why im asking
