I know nothing of Android.
Am a Linux-only user looking for info on how to root an i7 for a friend.
Also want to begin the Android learning curve and am doing so helping another. They want to use the i7 for internet access to NFL games.
(Look for other thread asking the question).

Welcome to Android Central.

Rooting in the Linux environment is usually not any more difficult than doing it from Windows or Mac OS so I wouldn't worry to much. See what the members have to say in the forums regarding your question.
