Is the Hi-Res Zoom delivered to the Pixel 2 or is it limited by hardware to the Pixel 3?

Try taking picture in night mode (during daytime) and you'll notice that when zoomed picture looks much better.

In the 2, both night mode and zoom are still using the existing HDR+ processing (night sight is basically HDR++). In the 3, night sight and zooming augment HDR+ with the really trick cross-pixel processing.

Thanks. I was surprised and pleased when the camera app for Pixel 3 was available for my Pixe 2 but I wasn't clear on what was different. When my sister brings me my Pixel 3 in January I'll compare with my Pixel 2.
