Hidden apps

Sometime ago I changed my phone to all to have the apps to only list icons. There is no 3 dots to select a menu. It used to say in the margin after I pressed this menu, (the 3 buttons) options like Do I want to hide or unhide apps or other options. your on hide applications. How can I restore that hidden apps feature.

What mobile or launcher .. you can delete cache for launcher so you will reset it to default setting.
