When you have the navigation bar hidden, the home button is still active even though it's hidden. Is there a way to not have the home button active while hidden.

Only thing I've found is to put the sensitivity as low as it will go. I gotta say, I don't really understand the button. I don't get what it's for.

I just started messing around with the sensitivity. I just don't know why they didn't make it so while the navigation bar is hidden the home button doesn't work. I just changed it to the lowest and it works better. Before the home button was activating as I was swiping the navigation bar back up closing the app when I just wanted to hit back button.

What exactly is the button for? Doesn't the home button in the navigation bar do the same thing?

Maybe it's not such a bad thing after all once I adjusted the the sensitivity. Don't have to swipe the navigation bar up to close app, just hard press. Saves a step that way.

Yeah, I think it's a good feature when the sensitivity is increased. Otherwise it's too easy to accidentally do it.

I think you mean when sensitivity is decreased, but yeah, agree. Before I decreased the sensitivity I was tripping it all the time swiping up for the navigation bar making it a pain.

I genuinely didn't even know this was a thing til you mentioned it and I tried it. This will save me swiping up the nav bar everytime I want to hit the home button

I prefer it this way. I know there's always a way for me to exit an app without swiping up.

I don't have an s8 (s7 edge) but I think it's a shame Samsung didn't make the back button and recent Apps work this way too. Would be great to be able to operate the phone fully even with the buttons hidden. When I had a nexus in the past I used to find it annoying having to swipe up the navigation keys

For some reason I don't want to hide the navigation bar at all. I like to see it present so I can go back or exit immediately. I'll have to try the hidden nav bar and see how that works.

I wish that at least the back button worked that way as well. I don't use the recents that often, but going back in an app can become cumbersome if you have to swipe up every time you want to do so.

Well at least something that annoyed me at first alerted others to this feature. Now that I have the sensitivity setting right I like it.

Just download swipe navigation from the play store, set it all up the way you want it, and you never have to use the navbar again. Fast and fluid while the navbar is hidden, no need to swipe up then hit the back or recents buttons anymore.

Or check this out... I just did it.
