Hi. New here and always use these forums when I have questions but this is the first time that I have needed to post to get my answer.

I am trying to figure out how to hide an app from being seen when you hit the recent apps button. I use smart lock to hide apps and files when needed but noticed that when I hit the recent apps button the app is perfectly visible in its last viewed state (resulting in not so much privacy). Has anyone found a solution for this?

Also not directly related but for anyone viewing this that also uses smart lock my phone updated this evening and prior to the update smart lock was not working, now it is which is awesome but I can't hide the icon from my notification bar. Any solution to this?

Thank you

You can just swipe away that app.

Yeah what I'm trying to do is avoid it from being seen in the list of recent apps if I forget to swipe it out. Not finding much as far as preventing an app from even entering the list brought up by my recent app button.

Haha. I like my privacy? I can't be the only person who has run into this.

So I will give this a singular bump in hopes that someone out there had a solution for me. Thanks again.

Try this, if you go to the settings go to the app then untick the show notifications it should go.

No luck still shows. Seemed like it should though hoping its something easy like that.

I want the same thing.

I've used the HIDE IT PRO app that hides the app completely from the app drawer and recent list, but is a pain of the *** everytime that i want to use it, needs root and doens't memorize the root permissions, so everytime that i want to launch the app i need to allow (Again, anda again...) the root permissions.

Any other ideas? Any Profile/Action on Tasker and Secure Settings? i've been seeking inside the tasker but i could find any solution...

Are you being a naughty boy? ;)

With today's technology, everyone's a "naughty boy" according to Google's MASSIVE databanks containing all information from anyone using Google services and products.

Alas, we can all hide it and pretend such "activities" one partakes in while being a "naughty boy" never happened, but a certain multibillionaire search engine corporation is always watching and aware. :p

Im looking for the same thing also and i recently just found out how to do it. You need to have Tasker or equivalent.

Open Tasker, create a task, select "App" and select Load app. Select your app that you want to hide from recent list. There is an option for you to "Tick" to remove from recent list. Save it.

You can then export the task as an app. Install the app that you've created. You can now load it without it show on the recent list. For those who need more privacy, you can use app lock or app hide program from the playstore to hide or lock the app that you just installed. It will run perfectly except for some time it did show on the recent list but it will not show the content. If this happen, when u create the app, use other name to describe this app and use different icon. This way, the recent list only shows the modified app name with black screen.

Let me know if it works for you.

You can reduce your pain by going in SUPER USER settings and set permissions as always grant
