Highest end/fastest Memory Card Compatible w/S10+?

My card in my 9 plus now is a 64 gig Evo Plus I think it's red. I bought a San San Disk 256 U1 back on Black Friday and it was $40 bucks well now their is this Evo Select 256 on sale for $40 it's the green one I think. Not sure the difference in the select or plus but this one says U3. So is that what we want for if we want to do the HDR 4K Video? I know someone said U3 but is select not as good as plus or are they similar? Does anyone know?

Select is exactly same as Plus. Amazon rebrands the plus and sales exclusively as "Select". If buying on amazon I would be careful to buy only from full filled by amazon

Thanks it did say fulfilled by Amazon EVO Select and it said U3 $40 same price I paid for my San disk U1

Seem to remember a thread over on XDA discussing a similar subject for the Note 9 and one guy purchased a stack of different cards to test them.

I think for the Note it topped out at A1 speeds (circa 80-100mbps) so faster A2 cards were wasted on the Note. Whether Samsung improved the slot on the S10 is unknown, I'd guess not though.

This is what I have and I'm very happy with it. It's a UHS-II / U3 / V60. You asked about speed. I purchased it for this purpose. I record a lot of 4K video and edit off the card. Of course there are much more inexpensive options such as the SanDisk if you are looking for size vs speed.

I'd be very surprised if the S10 can take advantage of the extra speed of UHS-II cards. That extra set of pins simply don't touch anything in most readers.

Yeah I don't think the S10 would but it would definitely come in handy when you put the card into a compatible card reader to transfer those 4k files to a PC.

Well we ended up ordering the Samsung Evo select U3 256 from Amazon. I got me and my husband each one for $40 a piece.

Bestbuy will match shipped and sold by Amazon.

Not sure the difference but we got U3 Evo Select 40 bucks than I saw an ad for Evo plus 45 bucks and it said HE and some other stuff class 10 maybe. I hope ours is the same and this one isn't better for 5 bucks more. Ours came today.

Edit : This is so weird but I saw an ad on here like I said Evo Plus U3 45 bucks I just clicked on the ad to read about it and it says you purchased this item July 2018 and it wasn't shipped by Amazon and it said it was 85 bucks and I used 45 in gift cards. My memory is really bad cause I don't remember ordering that much less no where it is. LOL! So weird.

Hi All:

i found it difficult to find the actual specs that the S10+'s memory card slot can accommodate. there are many grades and nuances of memory cards, so i want to find the best one (i.e. fastest) for the S10+ to buy prior to the phone arriving.

may i ask if anyone knows the detailed specs of the memory card slot of the s10+ please? hoping to do this research asap so i may order the memory card and have it arrive prior to next week's arrival of my S10+.

thank you in advance.

Im using a SanDisk Extreme Pro MicroSDXC UHS-II ...i know its the fastest out there but im pretty sure my S10 Plus doesnt support it.as it has 2 connectors...

As far as I can tell there still isn't a phone that supports UHS-II or A2, so probably overkill unless you take out of phone and transfer using reader to a pc?
