Hole punch issue - rectangular shape?

Hello everyone. I'm getting random small rectangular dark shape around my hole punch, see picture. Any help on getting rid of it? It may be an under display camera issue.

Never seen that, but not sure how it could be related to the under display camera since it's on a totally different screen?

Who knows, but have you tried to do a factory reset? It may just be something goofed in a config somewhere?

You're right, under display camera related, it appears Nova Launcher related.

Custom launchers, like Nova, handle just your home screens and app drawer and don't have any control when you have opened any app, as in your screenshot. That cutout could be caused by some of your settings or by an app like Good Lock, if you have it installed.

As was mentioned above IF you have Good Lock (Multi Star) installed, there is a setting which turns the camera area "black". I have not fussed with the setting as I don't mind the UDC and it DOES fill it with a round blackout, not square.

You know, I hate to say it but Nova has REALLY disappointed me. Screw them. For over two years since my og Fold 1 they have REFUSED to "develop" anything for folding devices. They even sent out quite a RUDE email saying they have zero interest in working with foldables. Im done with 3rd party launchers as they're ALL sub par. With recent upgrades from Samsung's ui and minimum DPI adjustments in developer options and GoodLock combined, there's really no reason to use Nova or any of that other nonsense right now..

Agree with you. Samsung's OneUI came a long way and am not interested in any other 3rd party launchers since my Note 10+.

I feel the same. I guess my contribution to prime is just a drop in the bucket, but the developer's refusal and antagonistic view toward folding phones is a turn off. He's basically be doing what he wants at will, and that's his prerogative at this point, but then don't hold a useless Discord server with a feature request channel if you're so much into your own thing. One thing that irks me that he did recently was that he changed the app scrolling in a folder to not be free scrolling, but page by page, and there's no way to revert it back to free scroll. I asked him about it and he basically said - oh, that was intended and based on how they felt about it, maybe they'll change it back. I mean, not even an option but basically this is how it is. I put it back in their server as a feature request to revert back and it received a lot of upvotes but he didn't seem to give a ****.

So, now I have moved to One UI, mainly because Nova is not optimized for foldables. I'm not even asking for support of two home screens, but the fact it is very slow sometimes when switching from folded to unfolded and vice versa. Since there is only one home page, there shouldn't be a delay as if the launcher is reloading each time you open and close.
